| MW011 Graham Philip D'Ancey - The Sacred Project EP |
|
Out later this week, a special release by a UK artist named
Graham Philip D'Ancey. It's an all white EP called The Sacred Project.
The project consists of 4 tracks, all of which have been remastered and sound incredibly warm and full. The first track was originally released in 1981 as a 7" entitled Sacred Heart.
Aside from the single, Graham released several LPs in the early 80s, one called Alluma, a pure analogue synth soundtrack style LP. He also did a library LP called Chinese with some unusual instrumentation plus a couple of killer electronic cuts. Very interesting and wordly stuff.
The EP is white with a matte white printed cover, and limited to 500 numbered copies. Click here for image sample. Updated catalog link and more sound samples coming soon.

| Iron Curtain Interview |
New interview with Steve Fields from the legendary West Coast band, Iron Curtain.
Iron Curtain were active in the early 80's, and released several singles under that name. They are most known for their track, "The Condos", which appeared on the Tarantula Scream 12" (1984). Later Steve went on to release a solo 7" under his own name. Read more about the early years of Iron Curtain in the interview. Big thanks to Steve for this. |

A split 7" between Somnambulist and M. Bryo will be released in May. Described as "one-man, new wave synth" bands, these projects were a part of the emerging new music scene in Belgium in the early 80's. Other related bands from that era include: Absolute Body Control, The Klinik, OB Minimax, Quality-T and Vita Noctis.
All three tracks were created spontaneously; resulting in beautiful, minimal, analog synth recordings. Check for sound samples here. Thanks to Central Tapes (BE) for the initial impetus to release these.
Limited to 500 copies, clear vinyl, with insert. The release can be mail ordered right here. |
